The Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort and Spa is a vacation destination in and of itself. The property is amazing. There is a sixty thousand square foot indoor water park on the property. There is a spa on property that is phenomenal. This is resort encompasses over seventy acres of land, it is a phenomenal piece of property with exceptional views and nicely secluded from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg but still close enough to the attractions.

The cabins that make up the Westgate are absolutely what you would want a cabin tucked away in the mountains to be. The Westgate group owns resorts all over the world and is best known for its time share vacation options.

Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort and Spa is located next door the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, and literally stepping out of the cabin and walking a few feet puts you in the park. Each cabin is beautiful, and there are full kitchens with at least two bathrooms and from one to four bedrooms, and of course a living room and a dining room. Each cabin has a front porch complete with rocking chairs to take full advantage of the views. There are two pools on property. There is a twenty four hour market, a fitness center; a ticket center that sells tickets to the area attractions, a grill and the Mason Jar lounge for cocktails - all conveniently housed in The Lodge. There are activity programs geared to all ages, hiking trails, a fitness center, a snack bar and horse stables. This is the only one of its kind out of all the Gatlinburg hotels - which means that you'll experience an authentic mountain vacation when staying at the Westgate.

Leaving the Westgate to get to the other area attractions may be a little difficult when everything you could want on vacation is already at this Gatlinburg hotel. The area attractions include the Dixie Stampede, Black Bear Jamboree and the Country Tonight Theatre - among approximately two hundred area attractions between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There are so many activities to do and see in both areas that are only a few miles apart it would take a month long vacation to see them all. One of the top attractions is Dollywood Theme Park located in Pigeon Forge and the Dixie Stampede Dinner Show also located in Pigeon Forge.

The Westgate Resort is an excellent option for a family or for a couple that enjoys a bit of privacy but still craves that pampered feel that a resort offers. Because of the growing popularity of the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee areas, the Westgate is become harder and harder to reserve.
